ZOTAC Releases Mini-PC Blu-ray
ZOTAC seems the more serious work on the Mini-PC multimedia market. This is their show with the release of Blu-ray ZBOX AD03, a multimedia PC that comes with compact design.
At first glance, the design of similar devices ZBOX Blu-ray or DVD Player. However, this device is actually still a PC, a PC-style is reflected in the facilities available.Just look at the rear side of the connector optional Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and audio support 7.1 channel system. To connect to a monitor or television, Blu-ray ZBOX AD03 has an HDMI connector and DVI-I. Facilities feels more complete thanks to the presence of WiFi-N to be connected to the home network and a memory slot that supports 6 types of cards.
However, the most interesting is the engine inside. Blu-ray ZBOX AD-03 uses latest AMD platform called Brazos. In this new platform, there is a combination of AMD processors E-350 (speed 1.6 GHz) and AMD's graphics chip Radeon HD 6310. AMD is actually more intended for the segment Brazos netbook / notebook ultraportabel, but the ZOTAC developed into a nettop.
ZOTAC claims, Brazos AMD platform will produce a satisfying multimedia experience. "The combination allows ZBOX provide High-Definition video entertainment and DirectX 11 with perfect capability while maintaining energy efficiency" said Carsten Berger, Marketing Director, ZOTAC International. Berger also pointed to the ability ZBOX in stream lossless audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio via HDMI connection to produce excellent sound.
ZOTAC itself provides Blu-ray ZBOX AD-03 in two versions, namely version of "smooth" without the hard drive and memory, as well as version "Plus" with the facility 250GB hard drive and 2GB of DDR3 memory. Unfortunately, until news of this writing, unclear pricing and availability in the Indonesian market.
